What is UserVoice?

UserVoice is a dedicated Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that transforms unstructured customer feedback into a structured, actionable product development pipeline. Its core purpose is to give product managers a systematic process for listening to users, understanding their needs, and translating that understanding into a prioritized product roadmap. It serves as a single source of truth for feedback, eliminating scattered spreadsheets, buried support tickets, and anecdotal decision-making. The primary audience includes product managers, product leaders, and customer-facing teams in B2B and B2C companies who need to scale their feedback operations and align product development with market demand.

Key Features of UserVoice

Centralized Feedback Collection

Aggregate feedback from in-app widgets, email, help desks, sales calls, and community forums into one unified inbox. This eliminates feedback silos and ensures no valuable insight is lost, providing a 360-degree view of the customer voice.

Smart Feedback Prioritization & Analytics

Move beyond guesswork with built-in analytics that score and rank feature requests based on revenue impact, vote volume, customer segment, and strategic goals. Identify your highest-impact opportunities with data-driven insights.

Interactive Public & Internal Roadmaps

Build and share beautiful, stakeholder-friendly roadmaps. Public roadmaps manage user expectations and build trust, while internal roadmaps keep engineering, sales, and exec teams aligned on the product vision and release timeline.

Stakeholder Management & Changelog

Close the feedback loop by notifying subscribers when their requested features are planned, in progress, or launched. This builds customer loyalty and turns feedback contributors into product advocates.

Who Should Use UserVoice?

UserVoice is ideal for product-led organizations where customer input directly influences the roadmap. It is exceptionally valuable for: SaaS companies needing to manage high volumes of user feedback; Enterprise product teams requiring a formal process for collecting feedback from key accounts; Startups seeking to validate product-market fit and prioritize their MVP feature set; and any product manager tired of manual feedback aggregation and seeking a scalable, transparent system to justify roadmap decisions to stakeholders and customers alike.

UserVoice Pricing and Free Tier

UserVoice operates on a quote-based pricing model tailored to the size of your team and required feature set. They do not offer a permanently free tier; however, they typically provide a free trial period for qualified businesses to evaluate the platform. Pricing is structured around modules like Feedback, Ideas, and Roadmaps, with costs scaling based on the number of end-users (people providing feedback) and internal seats (product team members). For accurate pricing, requesting a custom demo and quote from their sales team is recommended.
